About Plovdiv Airport
Krumovo Airport was opened in 1928, for flight training and test flights in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The first scheduled civilian flight was made to Sofia in 1947. In 1965, the airport was enlarged with a new terminal building being built and at the same time managed to become the airport with the most air cargo transportation. In 1982, Krumovo Airport first international flight took place and is used by two million passengers every year.
