Transportation to Airport from Taif City Center
Taif Regional Airport
Buses are the most convenient option that you can choose to reach the airport from Taif city center. You can also get to the airport by taxi or by renting a car from the city center.
Bus
Direct buses to the airport depart from Al Taif Station in Taif Al Faisaliah. Local bus services operated by SAPTCO depart on short intervals. According to the current information in SAPTCO's web site the fare you will pay for this trip, which is about 30 kilometers, is 15 Saudi Riyals and it takes about 1 hour. You can make your reservation at the official website of SAPTCO or you can get your ticket from the sales points. It is also possible to buy tickets from almost every stop.
Taxi
You must absolutely have an agreement with the driver about the fare before you start your journey, if you are taking a taxi without a taximeter. Otherwise, you can pay really high fares. Taif Airport, 70 kilometers from Mecca and 30 kilometers from Taif city center, is an airport suitable for international and domestic flights. You will not find much shops and similar entertainment areas at Taif Airport, which is smaller than other airports in Saudi Arabia with regard to area and capacity.
Taif Airport is of great importance for the history of Saudi aviation. The first one to land this airport was Ibn Saud, the founder of the kingdom. It is an airport used both for military and public purposes.

Adnan Menderes Airport
You can get to the city center from Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, which is located in the Gaziemir district 18 km away, by Havas shuttles, public buses, train, taxi or personal car. You can also rent a car at the airport.
Personal Car
If you are going to drive to the city center from Adnan Menderes Airport using your personal car, you can get to central locations like Alsancak and Konak in about 30 minutes.
Havaş
Havaş shuttles are a good choice to reach the city center. Havaş shuttles provide high frequency transportation to the city starting in the early morning and continue until late at night. You can reach many locations both in the city and outside the city, like Alsancak, Karsiyaka, Kusadasi, and Aydin, using Havaş shuttles.

However, if you’re going somewhere outside of the city like Çeşme taking a taxi can be very expensive. Public buses are another alternative to get to the city center. Using line 200 you can get to Mavisehir, using line 202 you can get to Alsancak and its surrounding areas, and using line 204 you can get to Bornova and its surrounding areas. Before getting on the bus purchase a Kentkart (smart card for fare payment), which is valid for the metro and train as well.
Train
The fastest and most practical way to get to the city center from Adnan Menderes Airport is by train. The platforms are just outside the terminal, a short walk away. You can buy a Kentkart on the platform and take the train to the city center.
Rental Cars
Renting a car to get around in Izmir is a good idea, especially if you plan to spend a few days in the city and/or travel to the surrounding areas. You can reserve your vehicle in advance and pick it up from the car rental office located at the airport. You can return your vehicle at the airport rental office a few hours before your departure.
