The city center is located 5 km south of Djibouti-Ambouli International Airport. It is possible to reach the city center in a short time. You can reach the city center in about 17-20 minutes under normal traffic conditions by getting on a taxi or renting a car at the airport. Travelling to the city center by taxi costs about 1800-2000 Djibouti Franc. From 09:00 pm to 06:00 am, the taxi fares increase by at least 50%. Some accommodation centers in the city offer airport shuttle service for their guests. Some hotels offer this service for free.
