Transportation to Airport from Anchorage City Center

Ted Stevens Anchorage Intl. Airport

You can reach the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport from the city in a very short time with a taxi. You can reduce the cost of travelling from downtown Anchorage to the airport and vice versa by using the bus. If you opted for a car rental, you can drop-off your hired vehicle at the airport. Some hotels offer a free shuttle service from the city centre to the airport, or to the vicinity of the airport.

Taxi

A taxi ride from the city centre to the airport should usually take no more than 20 minutes. The cost of getting to the airport from downtown Anchorage is between 17 to 22 dollars.

To reach the airport with your hired vehicle in approximately 20 minutes, you can either take the L Street or the O’Malley. Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport is located 5 miles from the city centre.
