About Air Baltic
Air Baltic, legally known as AS Air Baltic Corporation, is the flag carrier of Latvia. Established on August 28, 1995, through a joint venture between Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) and the Latvian government, the airline operates from its main hub at Riga International Airport (RIX). It also has secondary hubs at Tallinn Airport (TLL) and Vilnius Airport (VNO). Air Baltic offers flights to over 70 destinations in Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS, and the Middle East, providing essential connectivity between the Baltic region and the rest of Europe.
Air Baltic Check-In Services
To check in for your Air Baltic flight, you have several practical options. Online check-in opens 5 days (118 hours) before Air Baltic flights and 24 hours before connecting flights and flights with other airlines. Mobile check-in is a convenient method that helps you avoid the €30 fee charged for airport check-in and lets you skip counter lines.
Simply log in with your PNR number on your mobile device, complete the check-in process, and receive a barcoded boarding pass via email. You can then head straight to your flight with your mobile barcode, provided you have no baggage to check in. Alternatively, save time by using self check-in kiosks at the airport, which complete the process in about 1.5 minutes.
For flights from Riga Airport, the Twilight check-in service allows you to check in your luggage between 19:00 and 22:00 the day before your flight. It’s recommended that all passengers arrive at the airport 2 hours before departure.
Baggage Right and Charges
Passengers are allowed one piece of carry-on luggage (max 8 kg) and one personal item. Checked baggage policies vary by fare type: Basic fares include no checked baggage, Premium fares include one checked bag up to 23 kg, and Business fares include two checked bags, each up to 32 kg.
