About Tenerife

It is the island with the largest population density and surface area among the Canary Islands, which are connected to Spain. Santa Cruz de Tenerife, one of the two capitals of the islands, is in this island. The other capital is Las Palmas on the island of Gran Canaria. The carnival is held every February.  As an example of the modern architecture the Opera House, Loro Park, where more than 200 species of parrots can be seen, and La Laguna University, one of the world's oldest universities, on the UNESCO World Heritage List, along with the region are main tourist attractions. The most famous towns of Tenerife's tourism hub are Puerto de la Cruz, La Orotava and Las Galletas. Candeleria Basilica, Concepcion Church, Guimera Theater Building represent the city's historical pattern. Tenerife is under the effect of tropical climate. There are two different airports in the north and south. North airport is in San Cristobal de La Laguna and south airport is in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Tenerife Norte Airport is located 13 kilometers north of Santa Cruz de Tenerife in Spain, one of the most important holiday destinations of the world. In order to get to the city center from the airport, passengers might use taxis and buses as well as rental cars.

Taxi

The luxurious and comfortable white vehicles belonging to Radio Taxi Laguna, the only taxi company with the right to carry passengers at the airport, can be easily reached from the stops on the ground floor. The company that can provide minibus-style vehicles that can accommodate up to eight passengers on demand apply an increased rate between 10 pm and 6 am and on holidays.

Bus

In order to take the buses at the Tenerife Norte Airport, which are the only option of public transportations, you need to reach the stops on the ground floor of the terminal building. The departure times of bus number 102, 104, 107 and 108 differ, but generally they operate between 7 am and midnight. You need to buy a ticket from the terminal building to get on the buses which depart every 15 to 20 minutes.

Car Rental

Those who want to travel in a cozy vehicle in the hustle and bustle of the city can rent private cars from 7 am to 11 pm from Auto Reisen, Cicar, Avis, Hertz, Europcar and Goldcar Rental companies located next to each other on the ground floor of the terminal building.
