About Tampere
With a population of 300 thousand people, it is one of the cutest cities of Finland. Situated between the Näsijärvi and Pyhäjärvi lakes, the city also has another 180 lakes within its borders. Tampere, which was established in 1779 and is one of Finland's major industrial centers, is also the third largest city of the country. From Tampere to the capital city Helsinki it takes 2 hours by car and 90 minutes by train.

It is famous for world-renowned open-air theaters, numerous festivals and sports activities. Tampere Pirkkala Airport, which is located 17 kilometers of the city center, is a medium-sized airport having 2 terminals and hosting both domestic and international flights. To get to the city center from the airport, you can take the bus route 1 belonging to the city's public transportation system. By using these buses, you can get to the city in about 30 minutes with very affordable fares. You can also rent a car from one of the car rental offices located in Terminal 1 or you can choose one of the options such as Ryanair's airport shuttle, taxi or shared taxi.
