Known for its colorful culture, Pecs is located on the south-west of Hungary. The region, which has the fifth largest city title in the country, also draws attention with its feature of becoming the European Capital of Culture in 2010. The city, which has hosted various administrations and cultures throughout its two thousand year history, has been taken to the UNESCO World Heritage List as it continues to reflect this historic texture. Pecs Airport, which was opened in 2006, hosts various flights, either direct or connected.

There are many tourist attractions in the city which can be easily visited by train and bus. Székesegyház cathedral attracts a lot of attention in the city which houses many historical artifacts belonging to the early Christian period. Vasarely, Csontváry and Zsolnay are among the other places to be seen. Also located on the mountains of Mescek, Televisiontower creates an area where the panoramic view of the city can be enjoyed.

The city is also famous for its wines and the Pannonia Champagne factory in the city is the only address for wine lovers in the city. Enoteca Corso, Caesar Pince and Crystalise are among the most popular places where traditional Hungarian food can be enjoyed.
