Right next to the Great Osh Market is Şehit Tepe Mosque, Kyrgyzstan's largest place of worship. This wooden mosque, built in 1910, was recently restored with the support of Saudi Arabia and is among important sites to be seen. Osh is also attracting attention with its emerald green parks, which proves that even the Central Asian steppes can be greened if desired. Also, while in Osh, it is worth trying the local delicacies Kumis, made from mare milk, and Aşkabak which is made from pumpkin.
