About Austin

Austin, located in the heart of the U.S. state of Texas, is recognised as the American city of universities and students. “Austinites” are famously recognised as people who live in Austin and some of its surrounding cities. The high number of cafes, bars, and venues with live music is due to city’s large, young population. Whether it be day or night, there are several activities that you can participate in. The Texas State Capitol is at the top of “the places to visit list”. This is followed by the Bullock Texas State History Museum, where many historical documents and artefacts about the state of Texas are on display, and the The Moody Theater, where several concerts take place.

Austin’s kitchen is as rich as its culture, and the city’s most delicious food is usually produced in small, family-run restaurants that serve customers with steak and wedges. The hamburger and pizza restaurants found along nearly every street could be the quicker solution for hungry travellers. Austin’s weather conditions are somewhat like a desert climate. The city has yearlong warm and hot days, but the nights can be rather cold. For this reason, you should take with you such weather appropriate clothing. Although public transportation is available in the city centre, it is advisable to rent a car to travel to towns located in the outskirts of Austin.
