About Anahim Lake
Anahim Lake, which is a village located in the province of British Colombia in the west of Canada, is also the name of the lake situated in the same region. Anahim Lake and the surrounding villages have a population of approximately 1500. Anahim Lake is a bigger village compared to other nearby villages. The village is also the center of trade in the region. The people living in the region are generally busy with forestry, produce and pick nontoxic mushrooms growing in these forests.
Cattle, deer and lake fish are also produced in the region. The Anahim lake, where fish is brought, is one of the world-famous sport fishing centers. The lake is famous for its numerous world class fresh water fishing resorts that bring in enthusiasts from all over the world especially North Americans and Canadians. There are also hotels to welcome fishermen, birdwatchers, campers and visitors coming for nature trips. These hotels are also rest stops for cars that use the highway Chilcotin - Bella Coola covering the region from end to end. There is also a small airport offering service to the region. Anahim Lake Airport is only open to direct flights from Vancouver, the center of the province of British Columbia.
