Taxi is the most preferred means of transportation because Nalchik Airport is only 3 kilometers away from the city center. In addition, there are also the stops of some trolleybus lines and minibuses called "marshrutka" near the airport.

Nalchik city buses and mini-bus lines provide transportation to all parts of the city. There are a total of 9 mini-buses in the city.  The mini-bus number 536 runs between Nal’chik (autovokzal No 1, ploshadka 6) and Tirniauz (administrac,ya); the mini-bus number 527 runs between Nal’chik (autovokzal No 1 ploshadka 4) and Vladikavkaz (autovokzal No 1) for 6 rubles; the mini-bus 333 runs between Baksan and Tirniauz; and the mini-bus 101 runs between Nal’chik (autovokzal No 1, plashadka 6) and Baksan.

Trolleybus

The most up-to-date price for one-way ride on trolleybus, which is the most active and preferred means of public transportation in the city is 10 rubles and it is much faster compared to the buses.

The trolleybuses running in Nalchik city with 7 lines in total have the lines number 1, 2, 3 and 4 are connected to each other and there are the stops at the most visited places of the city.

The trolleybus line 5 runs between “NZPP” and KBGU Berberkova (Pyatachok) between 08:40 and 09:32 and the trolleybus line 7 serves between KBGU Berbekova (Pyatachok) and Pticefabrika (p. Adiyukh).

Taxi

The most preferred means of transportation in the city is undoubtedly the taxis. The fact that both taxi fares are affordable and Nalchik is a small city promotes many people to take a taxi, because the places to visit in the city are usually in the city center. Even if you are in a place that is far from the city center, going to Nalchik Airport by taxi is affordable, as well as it is the fastest and comfortable option.

Airport Information

Nalchik Airport is located 3 kilometers north-east of the city center. It is a small airport and generally serves for small airplanes. As of 23rd June 2015, there are direct flights from Istanbul Ataturk Airport to Nalchik Airport.

There are direct flights from Nalchik Airport to Moscow on a regular basis. Vladikavkaz Airport, which is the closest airport to Nalchik Airport, is only 85 kilometers away. From the airport to Nalchik, there are transportation alternatives by public transportation such as bus and etc.
