Today Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport serves general aviation and turboprop flights. The airport is used for charter flights and domestic and international turboprop flights. Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport is located about 30 km from the Kuala Lumpur city center.

Taxi

Transportation to Malaga City Center from Airport

You should not forget that only a few bus routes operate during the later hours. From the main train station in Malaga there are high-speed train running to approximately 20 different cities. The distance between the airport and the city center is only 8 km. There are enough alternatives to get to the city center from Malaga International Airport. The bus stop just in front of the airport and the train station just across the street are waiting for passengers who prefer public transportation. On the other hand, you can also use car rental, taxi or shuttle service alternatives considering the short distance to the city center.

Bus

You can easily get to the city center in about 15 minutes by using the express bus route 75, which departs from the airport. You can get your ticket by paying 3 Euro when you get on the bus. Do not forget that you can only pay in cash. The buses operate from 07:00 to 12:00 midnight.

Train

When you get out of the terminal 4, you will see train station. The trains that depart every 20 minutes offer an easy alternative for the transportation to the city center. The travel lasts approximately 12 minutes.

You can get your ticket from the machine at the station by paying 3,60 Euro. An important point is that the transportation to the city center by train is provided between 06:44 am and 12:54 am. If you will arrive at the airport at late hours, there is no appropriate public transportation alternative.

Hotel Shuttle Services

In Malaga, a city commonly visited by tourists, there are hundreds of accommodation alternatives ranging from 5-star chain hotels to hostels, and most of them offer airport shuttle service. Before arriving in Malaga, you can get in contact with your hotel whether they provide this service or not. If your hotel provides airport shuttle service, you can make a reservation by providing your estimated time of arrival.

Taxi

You can see the white taxis of Malaga waiting in front of the gate of the arrival terminal 3. The drivers of the airport taxis can be able to speak English. You may have to pay extra amount for your baggage in these taxis.

At the airport where two separate taxi companies operate, both companies offer service with two different tariffs. During the weekdays, they demand normal fares between 06:00 am and 10:00 pm. However, during the weekends from 10:00 pm to 06:00 am or official holidays, they demand higher fares.

You can also make a reservation to use the airport taxis. The cost is about 20 Euro but it can change depending on the traffic situation, but they will take you to the city center in about 20 minutes in a comfortable way.

Car Rental

If you want to have a comfortable and quick travel from the airport to the city center, you can consider renting a car from one of the car rental companies which will offer you many vehicle alternatives. Reservation in advance is a better option for you.

Renting a car will not be the right choice in terms of transportation if you will only visit the most important places in Malaga and not planning to see nearby places or cities. Most of the places to be visited are close to each other and you can visit them by walking. If you still prefer renting a car, drive to the link road MA-23and connect to the highway M-20. It is enough to follow the exit of Malaga to reach the city center. You can reach the city center in about 20 minutes.

We recommend that you make a reservation in advance. These stylish and comfortable vehicles are waiting for their passengers right in front of the long-term parking area and taking you to their offices in the city center. The travel lasts an average of 20 minutes.

Bicycle

Renting a bicycle in the city transportation is a preferable method due to its affordable budget and practicability. However, it may not be the right option because of your baggage or the 8-km distance to the airport. This should be the one of the last options you should choose.
