Transportation to Airport from Graz City Center
Graz Airport
About 10 km from the city center, Graz International Airport is connected to the city by the A9 and A2 motorways. You can reach the airport from different points of the city center.
If you are going to use public transport, you can take the bus or train. Both means of transportation are very affordable and allow you to reach the airport in a short time.
With airport shuttle services, hotel shuttle provided by your hotel, renting a car or taking a taxi you can reach the airport comfortably and quickly.
Bus
Buses to the airport depart from the main bus terminal in the city center. The ticket price is 2.20 euro for one-way boarding.
Train
You can reach the airport in 12 minutes by train from the main train station in the city center. You need to get off at the Flughafen Graz - Feldkirchen train station. This station is about 10 minutes’ walk from the airport’s departing passenger terminal.
Hotel Shuttle
The airport service provided by your hotel is a very convenient means of transportation, since it will take you from the door of your hotel to the door of the departing passenger terminal just in time and without any problems. You can make a reservation for return from the office at airport or you can make ask for it from your hotel to make a booking for you. Graz International Airport has all kinds of facilities you can expect from an airport, including numerous eating and drinking areas, stores and duty-free shops. The airport does not have a jet bridge, publicly known bellows, so passengers are only provided with buses from the doors to the airplane.
At the departure terminal, 4 different internet providers offer free service. Three of them are located in the Schengen area and one of them is located in the Non-Shengen area. At the entrance of the departure terminal you can use the free Wi-Fi service. There is also an art gallery at the airport. The gallery on the 1st floor of the departure terminal allows you to spend quality time while waiting for your plane.
The lounge, with a wonderful apron view where you can enjoy the takeoff and landing of airplanes, at the airport is located on the 1st floor of the departure terminal for passengers who do not want to give up comfort. It offers a very comfortable environment to relax, to have a snack, to browse the newspapers and magazines on the reading corner, or to concentrate on your work.
You can take advantage of the lounge service free of charge with a private card or pay 17 Euros. Graz International Airport offers an alternative event for those who are really interested in aviation and those who are curious about what is happening at the airport.
With the guided airport tour, you can browse both the known areas of the airport as well as the departments that are not open to the passengers, and you can get detailed information about how the airport works. A tour of up to 25 people takes 1.5 hours and costs 75 Euros per person. In order to participate in the tours between 7 am and 5 pm, seven days of the week, you need to book an average of 14 days in advance.
Transportation to Izmir City Center from Airport
Adnan Menderes Airport
You can get to the city center from Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, which is located in the Gaziemir district 18 km away, by Havas shuttles, public buses, train, taxi or personal car. You can also rent a car at the airport.
Personal Car
If you are going to drive to the city center from Adnan Menderes Airport using your personal car, you can get to central locations like Alsancak and Konak in about 30 minutes.
Havaş
Havaş shuttles are a good choice to reach the city center. Havaş shuttles provide high frequency transportation to the city starting in the early morning and continue until late at night. You can reach many locations both in the city and outside the city, like Alsancak, Karsiyaka, Kusadasi, and Aydin, using Havaş shuttles.
In addition, from March-October Havaş shuttles provide transportation to and from Çeşme.
Taxi
You can get to your destination quickly by taking a taxi. Taxis are located right outside the terminal. However, if you’re going somewhere outside of the city like Çeşme taking a taxi can be very expensive. We would recommend finding out the distance to your destination and calculating the fare before hand.
Bus
Public buses are another alternative to get to the city center. Using line 200 you can get to Mavisehir, using line 202 you can get to Alsancak and its surrounding areas, and using line 204 you can get to Bornova and its surrounding areas. Before getting on the bus purchase a Kentkart (smart card for fare payment), which is valid for the metro and train as well.
Train
The fastest and most practical way to get to the city center from Adnan Menderes Airport is by train. The platforms are just outside the terminal, a short walk away. You can buy a Kentkart on the platform and take the train to the city center.
Rental Cars
Renting a car to get around in Izmir is a good idea, especially if you plan to spend a few days in the city and/or travel to the surrounding areas. You can reserve your vehicle in advance and pick it up from the car rental office located at the airport. You can return your vehicle at the airport rental office a few hours before your departure. In Izmir traffic is generally mild, with the exception of rush hour, which is another reason why renting a car can be more advantageous. Rental car agencies at the airport include Avis, Hertz, Işıl Tur, Sun Rent a Car, and Duray Rent a Car.
Airport Information
You can watch aircrafts land and take off from almost every part of Adnan Menderes Airport.
