Don Mueang Intl. Airport

Thailand’s capital Bangkok is one of the most important tourist destinations in the Asian continent. The city, which hosted over 25 million tourists last year, has 2 airports. The Suvarnabhumi International Airport opened for international travel in 2006. The city’s first airport, Don Mueang International Airport, is a regional commuter flight hub and low-cost airline hub.

Suvarnabhumi International Airport handles the largest amount of international passengers entering the city, handling over 53 million passengers in 2012. Bangkok is a city with a population of 8 million. Like other South Asian countries, transportation within the city can be chaotic. However, transportation to and from the airport is extremely advanced and comfortable.

Suvarnabhumi International Airport

Rail

You can take buses 201 and 503 from the Royal Palace, National Museum, and Phara Nakhon, the historic city center, to Phaya Thai Station. From this station you can get to the airport in 17 minutes.

You can also get on the express line at Makkasan Station. Other lines take about 30 minutes to get to the airport.

Airport Services

There are vehicles that depart from Victory Monument, which is one of the busiest transportation hubs in the city, to the airport every 20 minutes. You can get to the airport using luxury minibuses or buses where you need to connect or transfer in between. Minibuses 550 and 551 will take you directly to the airport. The city of Bangkok experiences extremely hot temperatures and these vehicles were designed taking that fact into consideration. These vehicles are all air-conditioned, providing comfortable transportation for tourists.

Personal Car

From the historic city center (Phara Nakhon) take the Nakhon Sawan or Lan Luang bridges and connect to the Sirat Expressway, which has a toll. From here you need to take Motorway 7, which connects directly to the airport. After reaching the airport you can park your vehicle in one of the three parking lots, which have a total car park capacity of 5 thousand vehicles.

Airport Information

Handling 53 million passengers, around 25 million of which were tourists, in 2012, Suvarnabhumi International Airport offers various amenities for travelers to ensure they have a pleasant time. There are restaurants where you can taste the delicious flavors of Far East and South Asian cuisines as well as fast food restaurants.

The airport has venues that serve alcohol and temporary exhibits that passengers can explore. Passengers who are traveling on international flights can purchase products and souvenirs unique to Thailand from the stores and duty free shops.

Transportation to Kuwait City Center from Airport

Kuwait Intl. Airport

Kuwait, a half-century old Kuwait's namesake capital city, stands out as a commercial city. Kuwait city, which was ruined during the war, has been literally rebuilt with the help of foreign workers hosted by the city. More than half of the city's population consists of the foreign workers.

The city manages to be the center of attraction of the Middle East with its modern structures, two ports that have recently been put into service and an international airport. Kuwait International Airport is the most remarkable airport in the Middle East with its elegant architecture. The airport, located in the Farwaniyah area of the city, is 15 kilometers away from the city center.

Transportation is mainly provided by the buses in the city, which continues to develop. The buses, which provide transportation even to the farthest parts of the city with new vehicles, are praiseworthy in terms of punctuality in the city where the rail system is not available. Taking a taxi could be the ideal option for those who want to get rid of the tiresome and sweltering atmosphere of the bus journey in the city which is exposed to extreme heat almost all year round.

The buses, Kuwait's most popular means of transportation, also provide transportation service for the passengers on their way to the city center. New buses equipped with the latest technology are at your service. Taxi and car rental options are also available 24 hours 7 days for those who want a faster and more comfortable journey.

Taxi

Taxis offer a more refreshing journey thanks to air-conditioning advantage at the scorching heat of Kuwait. You can easily find the taxis, which serve all day long, in front of the terminal building of the airport. However, you should keep in mind that this option is more costly.

Bus

Four bus lines 13, 21, 99 and 501 are at your service on your way to the city center. Bus number 21 runs between 4:30 am and 11:45 pm. You can take the bus 13 to reach Chipset, bus 99 to go to Subhan and bus 501 to go Raqai part of the city. It takes about half an hour to reach the city center by all these bus lines.

Rent a car

You can also prefer to get to the city center by renting an affordable car of different brands and models at Kuwait Airport, where there are many international car rental companies such as Hertz, Avis, National, and Dollar.
