You can take buses 201 and 503 from the Royal Palace, National Museum, and Phara Nakhon, the historic city center, to Phaya Thai Station. From this station you can get to the airport in 17 minutes.

You can also get on the express line at Makkasan Station. Other lines take about 30 minutes to get to the airport.

Airport Services

There are vehicles that depart from Victory Monument, which is one of the busiest transportation hubs in the city, to the airport every 20 minutes. You can get to the airport using luxury minibuses or buses where you need to connect or transfer in between. Minibuses 550 and 551 will take you directly to the airport. The city of Bangkok experiences extremely hot temperatures and these vehicles were designed taking that fact into consideration. These vehicles are all air-conditioned, providing comfortable transportation for tourists.

From the historic city center (Phara Nakhon) take the Nakhon Sawan or Lan Luang bridges and connect to the Sirat Expressway, which has a toll. From here you need to take Motorway 7, which connects directly to the airport. After reaching the airport you can park your vehicle in one of the three parking lots, which have a total car park capacity of 5 thousand vehicles.

Transportation to Ingolstadt City Center from Airport

Ingolstadt Manching Airport is located in close proximity to the city center, however it is closed to scheduled air traffic.

The closest international airport that serves the city of Ingolstadt is Munich Airport. There are a variety of transportation alternatives you can use to get to Ingolstadt from Munich Airport, including trains, city buses, shuttle services, taxis, and rental car.

Train

One of the easiest and most practical ways to get to Ingolstadt from Munich Airport is by S-Bahn and ICE trains. However, this transportation alternative requires that you transfer trains in Munich.

First you have to take the S-Bahn commuter train from Munich Airport to the central station in Munich. This train departs every 15 minutes from the station opposite the airport terminal. It takes 40 minutes to get to the central station in Munich. Once you get to the central station you can transfer to a train to Ingolstadt. The train to Ingolstadt runs every hour and takes about 38 minutes.

The train provides convenient transportation to the Ingolstadt central station, which is very close to the city center. There are also Trainline trains that you can take to Ingolstadt, but these trains require at least one transfer. It takes between an hour and 40 minutes and 2 hours to get to Ingolstadt via Trainline trains, which cost 25.90 euros.

The first train departs Munich Airport at 1:24 am and the last train departs at 11:31 pm. These trains run every 45 minutes. The discounted Bayernticket system was created for those traveling with more than 5 people. This ticket system is valid on S-Bahn train only. The Bayernticket system is not valid on ICE and IC trains. The fee for a daily Bayernticket is 22 euros. Keep it mind that the regional S-Bahn trains are more expensive than the ICE trains.

Bus

If you want to get to Ingolstadt from Munich Airport without having to transfer vehicles then you should take a city bus or shuttle/transfer bus. There is a bus station in front of the Central Area, which is only a few steps from Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. There are many bus routes that depart from this station. Other bus stops at the airport are located in the Vacationers parking lot (P41), Visitors Park, Terminal 1 Module A/B, and Terminal 2.

The Airport Express X109 bus provides direct transportation to Ingolstadt city center from Munich Airport. The fee for this transportation alternative is 20 euros for one way and 33 euros for a round-trip ticket. The Airport Express X109 bus provides nonstop service to Ingolstadt ZOB (central station). The bus departs from Terminal 2E 032. You can also board this bus from Terminal 1 Bereich A/B. the Airport Express X109 bus stops at various locations in Ingolstadt, including the Audi Forum, Ingolstadt ZOB, Ingolstadt Kurt-Huberstr and Ingolstadt Village.

Taxi

Taxis are not the most economical transportation alternative to get to Ingolstadt from Munich Airport due to the distance between cities.
