Rene Mouawad Air Base is approximately 40 minutes away from Tripoli city center; however, Rafic Hariri International Airport is more convenient for international flights. This airport is located only 89 kilometers away from Tripoli city center. Flights between Istanbul and Beirut take about 1 hour 45 minutes.
